President Akufo-Addo should appoint a new Economic Management Team, according to Kwabena Agyepong. Featured

In light of the current economic issues, Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is pleading with President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to dismiss members of the government's Economic Management Team.
Mr. Agyepong cited rising interest rates and inflation as clear indicators that it was time for a shift in the way the economy was being managed. He claimed that people in the finance industry had no faith in the current economic managers. In an interview with Kessben FM, Mr. Agyepong stated, "There is no doubt right now that if you talk to anyone in the finance sector, they don't have faith in people controlling the (economy)." We all suffer because of this, and all of the members of the Economic Management Team should hang their heads in shame. I'm concerned about the security ramifications of this, though, because we've seen bad things happen all over the world. If the Finance Ministry and Central Bank are unable to control it, they should step aside and let competent and powerful individuals to make the tough decisions because they must be solid judgments. He added that he was not pleased with President Akufo-response Addo's to calls from the public to rearrange his appointees. According to Mr. Agyepong, the President may "surgery" his government and turn around the nation's prospects in the next two years. I wasn't too pleased with some of the comments since you have to demand outcomes from your staff and set a very high bar. Never settle for anything, especially if the outcomes indicate otherwise. We are in risky area, therefore the only significant thing the President can do to stop the situation is to fire the economic managers, and it is true that this is all that is left for him to do. Nobody is looking for Ken Ofori-job, Atta's but we are looking for the economic health of this country and some of us have to stand up and be counted. I would rather die speaking the truth than to be populist because I am NPP. You can't let the same people who have brought us to this point remain in office.
