Royal TV has learned that the revered Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will engage with the Kusang Traditional Council this Monday, June 30, 2025, as part of a steadfast mission to bring tranquility to Bawku. This significant gathering was detailed in an official statement from the Manhyia Palace, released on Sunday, June 29.

The communiqué highlights His Majesty’s unwavering dedication to resolving the ongoing strife in the region. “His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, will hold discussions with the Kusang Traditional Council on Monday, 30th June, 2025,” the palace declared, underscoring a royal effort to forge a durable peace.

The Manhyia Palace has extended a heartfelt appeal to all factions entangled in the Bawku unrest, urging their full support for this noble peace initiative. “Asantehene implores all involved to unite in our quest for enduring harmony in Bawku,” the statement urged.

Earlier this year, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II took a leading role in mediating the Bawku dispute, steering crucial dialogues in Kumasi that ushered in a period of relative calm. Now, he has revitalized paused negotiations, stressing the imperative of lasting stability in the troubled area.
